Becoming Paperless
This course is designed to help teacher create online assignments to reduce the use of paper using Edmodo, Google Docs, Wallwisher, Wordle, Voki, Vocaroo, Testmoz, Epals, and other programs.
This course was taught by Doug Moore, and he did a wonderful job at introducing me to new technology and ways that such technology can be incorporated into assignments.
Since taking the course I now use Google Docs, (which is particularly wonderful for me) since I am a split teacher (I teach at both the middle and high school). My lessons and handouts are accessible to me at any computer with online access regardless of which building I am in.
One of my teaching goals this year is to have students create a online portfolio, so that they can share their work with family and friends via the computer. I am using Edmodo to accomplish this task. Edmodo is also a wonderful way for students to see the finished work of their peers and offer feedback.
